Research in the Gilbertson Group aims to inform sustainable design of existing and novel materials that 1) precludes potential unintended environmental and human health consequences, and 2) maintains or exceeds functional performance goals. Gilbertson's research includes both experimental and life cycle modeling thrusts.
Dr. Gilbertson is excited to grow her research group at the University of Pittsburgh. Please contact me if you are interested in becoming a member of the group as a post doc, visiting researcher, graduate student, or undergraduate.
Many thanks to PPG for sponsoring research in our lab! Nathalia Aquino de Carvalho was awarded a 1-year Graduate Research Fellowship and Lisa Stabryla received a conference travel grant. Congrats ladies!
